The Oasis Project exists to equip young adults in Haiti to positively impact their families and communities to the glory of God.
This is accomplished by focusing on three critical development areas: providing spiritual development through mentoring, teaching life skills through goal setting and coaching, and facilitating job-readiness through educational opportunities.
Why We Exist
Empowering the youth of the Lifeline Center for Children is an important step in the transition process for children who have grown up in the orphanage setting. While Lifeline does its best to provide a safe, nurturing atmosphere for all of the children there, the facility and staff lack the capacity and ability to fulfill all of the societal duties and roles that would traditionally be passed on within a family unit.
Upon completing program requirements, Oasis students will be self-sufficient, confident, employable, spiritually mature individuals who will be equipped to break the cycle of poverty, stem the tide of orphan creation, and fan the flame of hope in their generation.
Partnership
The Oasis Project is seeking to partner with individuals, families, groups, and congregations to provide ongoing support to these young men and women as they transition from life in an institutional setting to a life of successful independence within the community. With your generous support, each student will be able to continue their education while also receiving food, shelter, and basic medical care.
Our annual budget is $105,500 and the average cost to sponsor a student in Haiti is $150/month, with university students requiring a bit more to cover their tuition and living expenses each month.
